Sudden acceleration!

Default Idle system

is designed to bypass air around the throttle, to keep engine revs up when an accessory (such as AC) turns on. It very well could be the culprit, If you are stepping on the throttle, and it opens, you'll get acceleration (assuming you're in gear)

Without downloading the codes from the car, it's hard to say more.

The old problem of sudden acceleration was shown to be driver error, IIRC 60 Minutes issued an apology to AUDI.
