Default Sun Visors

on the driver side seem to have lost the ability to stay in place when pulled down....well spcifically it wont stay in the one position it needs to be for me....there is like a 2" gap where it will not hold, just drops foward too far or needs pulling back to a 'bite' point again.

Any adjustment that can be made to tighten it up?

Default You can always see if extra pressure from the clip will hold it.

Stick a small wedge of paper between the clip on the right side of your driver's visor. If it holds better, either take off the clip or pry the metal tab out a little with it in place. You can take off the clip by popping the trim cover with a small flathead, then undoing the 2 phillips screws.

Thanks, I'll take a look....dare I ask what a replacement might cost...I'm a UK owner but they look to be the same worldwide 8D0 857 552? ...so for a drivers one for me (right) I'd need a passenger side one (left)from you, ecrue/beige colour with the mirror/light. From the very last 8D B5's available in the UK (in fact the B6 was available at the same time)

That clip, has no electrical contact? - as I could try some tape on the barel part to give it better grip - being careful not to make too big and snap the 'C' part off the clip??

Correct, not electrical.. you try wrapping it too. Part is maybe 2-4 Euro.

Bah, just tighten up the clip... unless you usually have the visor undone and toward the side window
