Sunroof still stuck after replacing potentiometer
Hi,
Recently my sunroof stuck upon closing (no problem when open/close tilted). I took it to the dealer twice. The first time they lubricate it, the second time they replaced the potentiometer. However, my sunroof still stuck upon closing occasionally. If I re-open and close it, the second time will usually close it properly. I am wondering if anyone got any suggestions about what to check or replace next. This has become very frustrating, wasting all my time back and forth to the dealership.
Thanks.
Sam

Re: Sunroof still stuck after replacing potentiometer
have dealer check wiring @ sunroof motor for loose or faulty connection , if so you will need sunroof motor replaced.I have seen this many times.Test theory by lowering control panel and wiggling wires @ the point that they enter the motor(not the wires for the potentiometer)

There is also a potentiometer in the motor...
it is harder to get at then the control, so they start with the control, and move to the next harder if it doesn't fix it (those intermitant problems can be a bear)..

I have the same problem. I think that on mine anyway, it is the switch. I touch it without turning it and it will begin doing its own thing. Sometimes I turn the car off and it will start moving. It is very frustrating.
