Default Put an adjustable wrench on the control arm, and twist.

(the control arm attached to the shock)

That will allow the bolt's exit angle to change just enough to sneak past the other control arm.

Default I prefer my big ol' channel locks...

I grip the arm on the little wedges, near the outer joint... Works great. I actually put the bolts back in that way on Rob's S when I did the coilovers, just to be a pain. :-)

Default Yeah, but I don't feel like typing it all out.

You'll work through it. If you get stuck, come back and search or post a question. Tons of people here have done it.

Default Yeah, regardless of what you have read, you shoulnd't need to remove the upper arms....

If you use the method that has you remove the 2 nuts which hold the shock to the upper control arm plate, you can just drop it out with the upper arms fully in place. DO NOT touch the pinch bolt that secures the upper arms to the upright, unless you have access to air tools.

Unbolt the sway bar either from the C links, or from the center. This requires having both front wheels off the ground at the same time. This will make it easier to push the upright down to allow lifting the lower shock mount over the lower arm.

Default yeah that pinch bolt even with air tools might have to be cut out so if you dont have to dont touch.

it.. if you replace your upper links you will obvsully have to remove the bolt and good luck..

Default Got it, definitely not going near that bolt.

No access to air tools. And don't need that sort of headache.
