Default Suspension advice...

Ok I have a 98 2.8Q
I have 16" Tango wheels, and stock, non sport suspension.
As I look at more and more cars, I want to get rid of some of the 4x4 wheel gap. I'm not a particularly aggressive driver, but I do drive in NYC a lot (hence the 16" wheels).

What is the best way to lower the car / close the gap while keeping the ride & handling pretty close to stock?
I'm trying to do this rather affordably - I.e. no full blown coilover setups etc..
Eibach springs?
H&R Springs?
Any other ideas?

Anyone have anything that will work with my car they want to sell?

Thanks in advance,
George

Default go stock sport package and neuspeed rear sway bar.

or for a little stiffer ride you could go stock sport springs and neuspeed/bilsteins. I have them and love the ride. My car has about a 2 finger gap in the front and 2.5 in the rear.

Default I'd reccomend the set-up I am getting

Eibach Pro-Kit springs and Eibach Dampers.
The springs will give you the drop you are looking for whilst maintaing the ride as they are a progressive spring. The Eibach dampers are perfectly valved and matched to the Eibach Pro-Kit springs so its a beautiful package.

Default Anyone have a pic? Is that a noticeable difference...

Per my measurements my fender to top of tire gap is 2.5" or so.... Wonder how much of a difference that is...

I would drive multiple cars with different suspension setups before you settle.
