Suspensions install - a hollow knock (HELP PLEASE)

I installed some used koni coilovers and Vogtland Sport Springs. After the installation - I went for a test drive. Every time the car drives over a drop - a hollow knock and I can also feel this knock on the gas pedal. Does anyone know how I can zero in on the problem and also how to properly adjust the firmness of the shocks?

From the tech article:

If its not that, it might be a control arm issue. My lower control arms were bad and I thought it was suspension related for the longest time.

Work your way through all the bolts you touched. If everything is torqued to spec, and you still have the noise...the bad news would be that the bolt pictured in DAP's response is the culprit, and the only way to address that is to remove the shock/spring. The good news is the shock and spring has to be removed and disassembled in order to adjust the shock rebound.

If it's coming from the front, the upper shock mount nut is the most likely culprit (along with the two nuts that secure the bushing to the arm mount).
For the back, make sure that the bolts are fully torqued (there's a torque spec followed by an additional 90 degree turn). Not sure about Koni's, but with the Bilsteins the upper bushings are a little narrower than the stock bushings, so you actually need to over-tighten the upper shock bolt so that the metal housing is squeezed against the sides of the bushing.

It has a hole big enough for the allen wrench to fit through, plus it has a hex-shaped end so you put a box wrench on it (as opposed to having to use vice-grips). 3/4" is damn close to 19mm.
