there's a tiny amp hooked to the rear speakers at the rear left speaker.

you'll need to not use the amp in the head unit actually.

Default use pre-amp outs on the headunit, typically the RCA outputs as..
the speaker level outputs are only amped on pretty much any head unit (and the speaker level outputs are interfaced via the wiring harness on the head unit). So you'd go from the RCA outs to the amp in the bose system essentially.

ALl of this assumes you actually want to retain the bose speakers.

herm.. I didn't think the non-bose were amped at the speakers. So I think there must be amplification inside the symphony head unit.. but I'm not too sure. Go look for an amp on your rear left speaker.

dont know if it needs to be bypassed, but if you put in new speakers just take it out.
