Re: A actual T04...will not spool till 5000RPMs....Might want to go to a Hybrid like T3/T4
Well the guy who is gonna perform the operation is gonna strip a ko4 out of one of his 225TT and he quoted me around 280 horse, but everyone else is telling me i am gonna need a T4 to get that kind of power but obviously at more cost cause it don't bolt in and the new manifold etc, so any other advice?

a TT225 K04 won't fit quite right due to the way the plumbing comes out of it IIRC
and its possible to get into the mid to upper 200s with a K04; ya just gotta be pushign it to its limits, with some other mods too

Re: A TT K04 wont fit...
how is your guy gonna tune it all up? There's a massive difference between a K04 and a T04. Most K04's are 215-250 hp pretty much maxed out.
atpturbo.com sells a manifold great for the DIYer for $395. You can bolt up Turbonetics or Garrett Turbo's to the manifold.
