I am reading over the boost gauge directions, and they specify 2 different locations to tap for boost.
1. on the back of the engine block, it reccomends using this for pre 99.5 A4
2. in the front of the engine block. For 2000 and later A4
I haven't opened up the hood yet to take a look, but wanted to see some opinons on the reason for this...Anyone with a 2000 done this? And where did you tap?
Thanks<p><A href="http://registry.audiworld.com/audi/registry/details.asp?car=4586">

The front line goes to the bypass valve. If this leaks, you'll get low/no boost which is exactly what your gauge is going to help you recognize. The line at the rear goes to the fuel pressure regulator. If you tap this and it leaks, you'll run lean which is very bad.
Good luck,
Rich
