Default Tap/Wett chips - any problems anyone?

Anybody ever had any problems with the TAP stage 1 or 2; or the Wett 1 bar chip. Most everything I read on the board is positive - no negative comments. So is everything good with no drawbacks? I am undecided which way to go and need to know both the good and the bad.
Thanks for any feedback you can give.

I've had my TAP stage 2 for about a year and a half and just recently had a problem. My wastegate was stuck open was causing my to lose alot of power. Dealer could not find a problem. Sent my ECU back to TAP to put the original Audi chip back in and now the car runs fine, just like when I bought it. Called Jeff at TAP about chip malfunction and he said there's a problem with my car functioning at increased boost levels and not TAP's chip. I guess I'll really find out when I install my new Wett chip next week, bad TAP chip or bad car, we'll see. Go with Wett, warranty is longer and you get a chip socket. This will allow to switch back to the original chip if you have a problem.
My two cents
Demetri
97 A4 1.8TQM
