That's a concert I stereo, I thought the 2001 had a symphony I stereo. Must be an early car or you are not in the US.
If you don't need the cassette, it's not a problem.Does anyone still use the cassette? Otherwise buy a replacement (e-bay usually has a few for under $100).Make sure you get the security code otherwise your dealer will charge you quite a lot to retrieve the code.
You can also go aftermarket stereo if you like that type of thing, however if your car has Bose it's not inexpensive to get round that.
The buttons on the climate control control the vents when the system is in manual mode. The upper, middle and lower vents can be controlled individually. If the buttons really don't work you need a replacement climate control unit. I always found the auto worked pretty well so rarely used those buttons.

I take it English is not your first language. So I will let the grammar and spelling slide.
Welcome to AW. You will find that most people left for other worlds.
That doesn't look like a 2001 console. I believe that it would be a 99.5. However, others may chime in to correct me.
As for the buttons, they are climate control buttons for selecting between high(defrost) vents, center vents, and foot-well vents. There are probably better terms to describe what they do, but I think that the point gets across.
I dont know how to get the tape out. Have you pressed the eject button? I believe it is on the top left hand side of the stereo receiver. Maybe try to slide a little screw driver in there and pry at it? I honestly dont know as I have never had a tape in my car. Though I have been eying some discount audio books.
Basically, this post is mostly worthless and I have no real information for you. I hope that helps.

They will replace concert stereo and climate control unit.
Probably $1000-1500
About $1000 parts + labor.
Most people wouldn't do that.
