The dealer just quoted me $12,000 for a new transmission. Is this correct or a bunch of B.S.???????????

for a tarnny, maybe...but 12k for a tranny is, uh, high

Default Auto, Tip, or manual?
A new Tip goes for $8000-$10,000. I thought that was the most expensive unit out there...

Default Nope thats about right for a ZF automatic. call around to other dealers,
You might get a better deal, but I've heard 12K for an auto before.

Default sorry man, but friday is almost here, so we all start to behave like monkeys....
I had no idea that replacing an auto tranny is that expensive, though. I hope you can find a place do to it cheaper for you.
