This is a followup on my previous "rough idle and hesitation" posts...

Ok, at the advice of a few on the board I added some techron to a new tank of gas and the results are phenomenal. After driving the car for 40 miles the idle is as smooth as glass even after starting it tonight in -2 degree weather. Can't believe it was (I hope) such a simple fix.

I'm not going to tell the dealer just yet since the car is scheduled to go in and have 3 coil packs replaced next friday and I want to get those replaced anyway

i have a rough idle too, car kinda sounds like a deisel...does yours sound like that?

I had a constant misfire when the car was at idle (it would frequently drop from 800-600rpm and then jump back up to 800) and some low rpm hesitation occasionally.

If your car is sounding ticky (more so than the normal 1.8t that is ) check your oil... could be valves ticking?
