Won't turn over fast enough to catch...or won't catch?
If it's turning over slowly, it's the battery. If it's clicking, it's the battery. If you hear nothing at all, it might be the starter. And if it's got a healthy crank, you've probably got an issue with fuel/spark.

sucks man. I have a 99.5 1.8TQMS and still on original stock battery....
My car started fine yesterday, it hit -20 F at one point. It was sitting outside for about 10 hrs a few days ago in -15 F temps and started strong. You should just get a new battery.
My last A4 wouldn't start when the temps dip below 15 F for a period of three weeks. That really sucked. Got a new battery and the engine decarbonated to completely fix the problem.
