testing a BPV

testing a BPV
does anyone have any easy way of testig a 710N BPV to see if it is leaking? I installed a new value about 6 months ago and now I am seeing my boost bouncing alot at WOT and the car is surging. All I have is a neuspeed chip so I would assume the 710N should be enough. If its not the BPV leaking boost its probably a hose somewhere and that would be a lot harder to find. So if anyone knows how to test a BPV please let me know.

push piston in from bottom of valve,
put finger on vac nipple to seal it, and release piston.
If the piston returned to it's original position, it's bad.
If the piston hold it's position while your finger is on the vac nipple, it's good.

you may have not installed it in the correct orientation...
I've heard the simptoms your describing with people who have installed the valve backwards. Make sure you installed correctly

Re: you may have not installed it in the correct orientation...
I installed mine exactly like the original one that I removed. I have heard of people putting them in backward on purpose but I'm not sure why someone would do that. How do you have yours oriented?

Re: push piston in from bottom of valve,
I'm confused by what you mean by "release the piston" I know the nipple that you are talking about, but I'm confused about what I need to do with the piston.
