Default Testing PLUG

How do you guys test the airbag for the right OHM's. Do I just hook up a multimeter up to the two wires that are not ground?

Default Don't do it...

the repair manual contains a warning not to perform any resistance measurements in the airbag wiring harness. You'd risk the airbag going off.

Default DO NOT OHM AN AIR BAG!!!

Under no circumstances should you EVER ohm an airbag. If you understand how an ohm meter works then you would realize why. It does not take much to set off an air bag. And you risk severe injury if not death by trying to do that.

DON"T DO IT!!

If you have an airbag light on, and you are not 100% sure how the system works, don't put a price tag on your life. Take it somewhere and have it looked at.

Thank you. But then how will I ever know what resistor to put on the harness? So the light does not go off.

Default If for seats, that was answered here today by Markbradford IIRC.

Are you planning on swapping out seats for non airbagged ones?<ul><li><a href="https://forums.audiworld.com/a4/msgs/1836043.phtml">AND in your thread???</a></li></ul>
