Thanks everybody for supporting me by voting for my picture in the "Picture of the Day" competition on Steve's Digicams website! Although I didn't get first place, I did come in second and won an 80 meg memory card for my camera, worth approx $190. First place was the picture of the bridge with the bubbles (digitally added after the pic was taken). Thanks again for voting for me.

I looked for rules on the pics but couldn't find them (didn't look too hard). The bridge pic made me wonder if the competition was supposed to be "pics taken with a digicam" or "pics that are digital in nature(oxymoron), i.e. taken or altered digitally"

I guess that later was acceptable.

Yeah, I didn't realize that digitally altered photos could win. Looks like I'll have to brush up on my PhotoShop skills!

Like Mark P said below, I orginally thought that the contest was for pics taken with a digital camera. I was wondering what the deal was with the digitally altered photos, but I thought maybe that bubble photo had some stupid "bubble filter" built into the camera.

Anyway, let me know when you enter again, I don't need to brush up on my Photoshop skills. I think we can take them. :-)
