Is there a FAQ for door panel removal?
I'm replacing the switch surrounds on my 99.5 driver's door panel. What are the steps to taking the door panel off? Thanks!!!

Not aware of a FAQ, but it's really easy.
Look for a screw or two behind the inside door handle, one by the side view mirror and maybe one or two others along the leading edge of the door. It's pretty apparent and you should be able to figure it out easily just by looking. Be careful of a speaker wire that may be attached.

isnt there a writeup where someone used tape to guide the lock back through the panel? lots of pix
not sure what the article was for. he used black electrical tape to guide the lock...?

There are a lot of FAQs that I know were there before but can't find now. I guess they really are deleting some...I must still be sane.
