Now my alarm goes off with the windows open even after hitting the motion sensor defeat switch. Is there a fix (short of cutting the wires from the sensors) for this problem yet?<p>Regards,

I was positive I hit the defeat switch and left my windows down. Unless one of my teammates tried to open my car door or some other stupid stuff, the wind must have still set off my alarm.
On anothe note, why didn't the Audi engineers integrate the motion-sensor kill into something like a double-tap of the lock button?! That door jamb button is a pain to get to if you have to disarm the alarm, open the back door to pull something out... and then re-arm the car with the windows still down. =(

When you press it (with doors open and car off), it should get a little light (ala the fog light indicator light). I thought I had armed it one time, but really I had pressed it before opening the door...and yes then the wind set it off. ![Frown](https://www.audiworld.com/forums/images/smilies/frown.gif)

but ya, i always note that it's on before i exit and close my door. i'll have to observe it more carefully in the future to see if i can get the alarm to go off even when the sensors are "disabled."

I don't remember how they blink, I only remember that the first 30sec or so they blink differently than when you arm the car without pressing the motion sensor button. I've tested this with the motion sensors on and off by flailing my arm wildly through the back window and everything worked as it should.

Last night I pressed the switch, heard the "click", but did not see the LED go on. Pressed it again and the light came on. The alarm better not be going off when I turn off the sensors or my dog is going to BITE ME!
