There must be an easier way! Help removing Audi wheels?

Also, as I remember, clip to remove the covers is plastic. Mine is in my glove compartment. When I took the caps off first time I removed wheels, I never put them back on. Car looks fine (7 spoke 16" Sport wheels or 15" regular alloys) without the danged things.
