Default Is there such a thing as QUIET brake pads with good initial bite?

Currently I have Axxis Ultimate brake pads, which are awesome brake pads for the street, and they have plenty of meat left in them. But they are too noisy for my liking. So I want to replace them this spring.
Previously I had Mintex Red Box which were quiet, but had no initial bite. (Strangely enough too, the Mintex were not as dust-free as I had expected.)

I was thinking of ordering the Carbotech Bobcats from PureMS, but the salesman on the phone told me that those brake pads are not as quiet as I had thought.

I know there is always a big tradeoff between performance and noise&dust. And at this point I am leaning towards going back to the Mintex. But I was just wondering if any of the Hawk or Pagid pads might have better initial bite than the Mintex, and be comparably quiet.

(FYI this is for my Boxster calipers.)

Thanks!

Default Pagid Blues. Once in a while they'll squeak a tiny bit, but it's rare.

When that happens, just hammer on 'em a couple times. Be sure to use plenty of the thick red antisqueal compound on them.

What ever happened to your Ferrodos? Alex swears by them.

I LOVE my EBC greens. Great bite and no noise... a little dirty, but eh whatever, wash the wheels.

Default Hmm -- I had forgotten about those

Believe it or not, I still have my Ferodo pads. But they were for the stock calipers. I still have the Porsche calipers on the car. I should see if Ferodo makes pads for the Boxster calipers.

Thanks for the reminder!

Default my Axxis Ultimates make no noise. zero.

if you do alot of stop and go driving you need to periodically deglaze any brake pad. this can eliminate squealing.

Default I've got them too. Maybe it's just my imagination but it feels like

they have less bite than when I first put them on. Anyone else thought that?

Default 2nd, but the womans does squeal occasionally. She drives hard, but her rush hour drive is bad.

A few good romps on the brakes and she clears it up.
