is there a way to adjust the windshield wipers so they wipe to the very left of the windshield and
instead of leaving a big area of the windshield not wiped which I find it very dangerous to drive when snowing and rainging.

I read something about this on Edmunds...
You change the whole resting position of the wipers.
They'll rest higher up than they do now, but they'll also go more over to the left when they cycle.
I don't know how to do this, but other people have done it before.

Yes, you can adjust their arc...
Just like WYSIWYG mentioned previously. Each wiper arm is just bolted onto its pivot. Just remove the little plastic bolt cover from the base of the arm. Remove that bolt, and slide the arm off. You can then put the arm back on in any position you wish.
