Default "Pressure washing" engine bay is bad mojo...

I suggest some SimpleGreen and a rag and/or brush..followed by a "light" mist of water avoiding coil packs and hand dry w/ towel.

The key is to stay away, especially w/ high pressure, from electrically sensitive parts...blasting your exhaust etc w/ high pressure is not an issue..just dont go in there w/ monster force.

Default FYI: I pressure washed my Audisport rubber floor mats at the coin-op car wash...

The pressure from the water cut a gauge halfway into my thick rubber mats. Now imagine what it'll do to a flimsy vacuum line or 18awg sensor wire cover.

And no, I did not pressure wash my car / engine etc... just the floor mats.
