There's now a FOUR week wait for a loaner at my dealer. This is getting silly.

Is everyone else experiencing this degree of delay in getting a loaner? I don't expect next-day service, and even two weeks is perhaps understandable. But 4 weeks' wait for a loaner is getting kinda ridiculous, no?

Default What do you mean

Is your car in the shop for repair and they can not get you a rental car for four weeks..?

Default solution

If a loaner is unavaliable, my dealer will rent me a car from a rental car place.

Its all covered under the warranty.

See if your dealer can do that.

Default I think he means that to get a loaner, the dealer is backed up 4 weeks.

If the dealer has you car longer than 1 day they have to give you a rental/loaner car. it's part of the warranty.

Default They're already getting them from Enterprise, but they seem to have a daily limit.

The question is whether this is a self (dealer)-imposed limit on the number of loaners they have out on any given day, or whether AoA is limiting them that way. Either way, it makes for L O N G lead time when trying to schedule regular service with a loaner!

At my dealer here in north/central NJ, it's always been at *least* a couple
of weeks for a loaner. As of this morning, they're scheduling service
for the 19th WITHOUT a loaner... jeez, that's almost 3 weeks to get in
if you DON'T need a loaner, and longer if you do. These guys are going
downhill faster than an RS4 down Mt. Everest...

Default At Ed Carroll in Fort Collins I've had a three year wait for loners.

No loners unless it takes over a day.

They should be providing you with a rental car. Check your manual on the warranty!

The dealer is not required to supply loners....it's his call!
