This issue actually comes up pretty frequently, but the folks who don't care for the seats just don't respond anymore. I end up using the cruise control a lot to give the legs a chance to get comfortable.
I have a pathy too, nice trucks. But it sure is fun actually passing folks in the A4 (and getting 32 mpg).

Actually, what I meant was if you presently have the seats rocked all the way so that front is totally up and rear is totally down, might install metal spacers or washers between where the front of the seat mounts to the floor and the floor. This would raise the front more, give more thigh support.
Added padding would help, but I can't see an easy way of doing this without tearing up the upholstery. Maybe I'm wrong, though.

When I look at what you can buy for thigh support while driving I always see a wedge to sit on. Thick at your bum and thin towards the end of the seat. So I adjusted my per seat to be LOW in the front and high in the bum area. This seemed to help me, try for yourself.

i bought an A4 2012 one time, loved the car EXCEPT for the seats. I couldnt stand them. It felt like I was sitting on them not IN them. I tried every adjustment possible, nothing worked, ended up selling the car and getting my A8......not a problem with seating there.

I drove almost 9000kms in our recently purchased A4 b5.5. Car works great. Tdi is very economical. Pulls our trailer nicely.
But I HATE the seats! They are as hard as a plank. Support on all the wrong places. Terrible to drive for long distances.
On wich you sometimes want to take a little nap as a co driver. Forget it. If you take any other position than the normal, they break you apart.
And forget about the back seat.. Its even harder.
Our 2001 a6 quattro had the same planks.
And there are no alternatives from other models or cars too. I hate leather seats. So a sport set is out of the question too. And they would only have even harder and bigger sidepadding So even more uncomfortable on long drives.
Our volvo 850, wich I drove 100000kms in, had the best seats ever.. You would get out of those feeling even better than when you got in. Even after driving for 15 hours.
The back seat was as big as a bed.![Smile](https://www.audiworld.com/forums/images/smilies/smile.gif)
Wish they put this PD tdi engine in that Volvo
Instead of the t4 van engine. Hmmm...
