Default Thinking of an A8 brake upgrade on the fronts...what's it gonna cost me with parts & labor

Is this easy enough to do myself or should I just let them do it at my local import shop? Those who have this upgrade, what are the noticable imporvements (Bite, fade resistance, ect...)

Thanks all,
-Matt

It's a DIY job with the right tools.

Default The DYI install is very easy...

...I am no mechanical genius, and it only took me about 1-1/2 hrs. The write-up in the FAQ is very complete and easy to follow.

I would say the biggest improvement is in fade resistance. I don't believe the car stops in any shorter distance, but it does stop more consistantly without fade. This upgrade is mainly about getting a bigger "heat sink" for your brakes.

It is a relatively cheap (I think the parts were around $300?), easy, and worthwhile upgrade, IMHO.

Cheers,
Mike
