Third: Chirping sound?

I start the car and there's a continuous fast chirping sound. After driving for a while, it dies down. My mechanic says it's a bearing inside one of the pulleys or tensioners...something like that, but he can't pinpoint which one and he won't fix it for me. He says it's nothing to be worried about and it's safe. What do you think?

If it is the timing belt tensioner and it fails it can ruin your engine.
OTOH, the serpentine belt tensioners are known for going bad and chirping. It's not dangerous but I would replaced it anyways.
