Everthing "seems" to be working now but the trouble with email is you never really know whats missing but rather only what's getting thru.
To get one you need to contact a salvage yard thru car-parts.com see if you can find one reasonably priced (usually between $50-$100). Once you're on the car parts site type in 96/97 A4 (2.8) as your car then click on "air flow meters" on their drop dowm menu. The MAF you need to locate is Audi part # 078 133 471A with the "A" being most important as there is a MAF without the "A" that is for late 93 thru early 95 Audi 90's that will not work for the conversion.
Once I receive your core exchange I'll swap it for one of my pre-made Stage 3 units using the sensor that came on your exchange unit.
As far as pricing try another email and I'll keep an eye out for it. If you don't get a response from me within 24 hours re-try or leave a post here or at the 12V Development forum for me and I'll try initiating contact with you from my end.

like I do for the 96/97 A4 2.8 12V. But the stock MAF for the 30V cars is physically different tho electronically identical.

This "should" work on any 2.8 30V car with the 078 133 471C MAF from Audi. I think there is a supercession that takes place in mid 99 that converts the MAF to a 078 133 471E unit. Until I can get my hands on one of those I won't know if it's a suitable unit for conversion or exchange.
