Default throttle body cleaning

any opinion if throttle body cleaning is a good DIY on a 97 A4 1.8T?

Default It's easy, but not usually necessary.

As there is no idle control valve like the 2.8.
Do a search under my UID, probably still some pics in the archives.

Default easy diy

just remember to get some throttle body/intake cleaner and spray onto a clean cloth- then rub the inside of your throttle body. prob a good time to lube and clean the throttle cable too.

this should remove a light, thin coating of oil.

don't spray directly into the throttle body- you risk ruining it.

Default Link inside..

pretty easy, just get a new gasket.

I was having some driveability issues, did the TB and voila, all gone.<ul><li><a href="http://www.taligentx.com/passat/maintenance/throttlebody/">click</a></li></ul>
