Default Yakima has round bars - you can alter the angle of the connectors as needed

Default Let's not bust on Thule 'cause they aren't American

After all, this forum is dedicated to a German car :-)

My Thule rack has given me no troubles. It has fit well both on my A4 and my old RX-7.<p>'00 1.8T QTSC

Default Always had Yakima

For some reason, I like their products better. They seem to be a company whos culture is dedicated to the outdoors and their products reflect that. I like to support that. They also seem just a little better thought out.

I've had bike carriers, ski racks, a cargo container and several different length bars. Every piece has been bulletproof. Not a single problem over the last seven years.

I think the bigger question might be availability. Depending on where you live, one might be easier to get than another.

Yakima's round bars are known to rust from the inside out...

As one who lives in Yakima, I can't imagine buying something made here.
