Default i.e. you can rev the **** out of it.. but if you boost the car doesn't drive?

.. can you drive the car if you don't boost?

Default i think he means that when he plugged the ecu in .. and turned the key to acc

he had a cel (i.e. there is communication) which doesn't mean **** in this case

Default What engine code do you have? -and start you response in the subject line!...

If you have an ATW which is the engine in the '00 your ECU should end with 018Q if it is a tiptronic or 018P if it is a manual trans. These ECU's from personal experience are not interchangable.
ECU's from different years should also not work with the ATW engine.
If you are outside the US your engine codes and model years may differ than ours.

Default gotcha... and ya, means NOTHING! lol... hell when i had my B5 and my MTM>

chipped ECU the CEL was disabled... even when a coil pack hit the dust i woundlt get a CEL. lol

he needs to pull codes

Boost or no boost, same thing as long as the car is in motion
