Default Time for a brake job...

Stock '98 1.8T, and the stock brakes work well for me. Where can I get stock brake pads at decent prices? Anything aftermarket that works the same at a lower cost? Thanks.

You can get EBC greens from TireRack. Good brakes, no dust.

Default They feel just like stock except they grab a little sooner.

Other than that and no dust they feel exactly like stocks.

Default Mine has great initial bite and then stock pedal feel.

I don't feel any upgrade in stopping power though the only benefit so far is no nasty dust.

Just the luck of the draw I guess.

Default Might be car specific .. perhaps how they were bedded?? I run EBCs on both axles and find the

initial bite to be better than stock once they are warmed. When they are cold they don't have the initial bite of the OEM.
I changed rotors at the same time so perhaps that plays into it as well. I am running EBC slotted/drilled in front and Zimmerman crossdrilled rears. That combo definitely helped with my 'wet braking' issue once everything is warm.

Default I am on stock resufaced rotors front and rear and properly bedded EBC's.

I guess wet braking is a little better but I don't have a different feel between cold and hot.
