Default Time to replace rotors....which way should I go

I currently have 16" stock sport wheels...and plan on getting 17" wheels next summer.

1.) ECS OEM Big Brake Kit -(TT Carriers, slotted OEM cadmium coated rotor w/ pads)Supposedly they fit under 16" wheels???? Anybody run this setup?

2.) OEM size slotted rotors as a basic swap and wait until I get 17s to upgrade to ECS Stage 1

Default So I would get...

1.) ECS Slotted Aftermarket Rotor - 12.3 (312x25) - pair Also Direct Replacement Rotor for all A8 upgrades

2.) Qty2 of Audi TT Front Brake Carrier

3.) Qty2 pads for 312mm rotors

4.) Brake Fluid

Why are these better than the other 312mm Brake kits?

Default It's not necessarily any better...

The only differences in the 312mm kits out there are in the rotor (OEM/aftermarket/slotted/drilled). They all have the same two basic parts: TT carriers and A8 rotors. Performance difference will be negligible, at least as far as rotors go. Different pads might perform better, but I wouldn't include those in the "kit," per say. At any rate, I think ECS has the most options for the A8 kit and their pricing seems to be pretty good. Good luck

Andy

Default ECS tuning has a new stage I brake kit.

Starting prices are $639.00 without pads.
See below for details on a discounted group buy.<ul><li><a href="http://www.ecstuning.com/phpBB2/viewtopic.php?t=18">ECS Tuning Stage I brake group buy</a></li></ul>
