Timing Belt Service
I just got a quote for a new timing belt for $440 inclu. labor, is that about the going rate? is there anything else to check for while doing the timing belt

Expect to spend more
In addition to the belt, you need to be replacing the water pump, thermostat, idler and tensioner rollers - depending on engine. Its also a good time to replace the serpentine/v-belts as well. Refer to the B5 FAQ for more info.

I'm having mine done today, it's about $750 w/ labor
New timing belt, idler & tensioner roller, water pump, ac belts and surpentine belt and more just cant think of it right now
