timing belt tensioner!!!! HELLPPP!!!
Okay... the skinny... my water pump went. I needed to replace it. i got the ECS tuning timing belt kit. i decided to put in myself. my dad and i took it all apart... mind you, without the cam alignment tool (i know, STUPID!!!)
this is a tough job. but we got in TDC. we did the install of the pump, thermo, idler pulley, and belt... but when it came to installing the tensioner pulley, the belt, wont give enough to get it onto the t/pulley. sooooo... here is the problem. i installed the tensioner partially mounted, then rotated it so that i could get the belt on it. but when it came time to rotate it back, i put too much force behind it trying to line up the nipple on the back of the t/pulley with the engine and i stripped the end of the bolt hole. and i think that the pulley got a little jazzed up too. so what should i be looking to do next to correct the problem? all that i need to do is get the damn belt onto the tensioner when it is already installed. any thoughts for help? and what do i do about the bolt hole on the engine. its stripped in about 2 threads. PLEASE HELP!!!

have it towed to an authorized Audi shop for replacement parts and the rest of the work..
They should be able to work with Aftermarket parts. However some shops charge extra when you bring your own parts. Best of luck bro. I hope you can finish the work at home to save $$ and time.
cheers,

Re: 2nd
well the cams are lined up right now perfectly on the marks left by the dealer from a previous service. the actualy t belt didnt need replacing... it was just the pump, but while i was in there i was just replacing it all. so now im nervous as hell as to what to do. i might have it towed... but how would i keep the cams from turning at this point?
