I am getting a deal on a tint, BUT the guy want to use SOLARGUARD tint. I don't know anything about tinting and am just curious if this is a good, reputable brand. The two that he recommends are Quantum and CHHP.

Another thing is that I plan to get a V1 in the future, will the Quantum(full metallic) tint disturb the performance of the V1? The CHHP tint is not fully metallic, but is still metallic. Should I go with another type of tint?

If you must use that tint, make sure it is metallic and comes with a lifetime warranty. The dye-based tint will turn purple in a couple of years.

I've heard of solarguard but I don't think it's a big brand name. 3M and Llumar are the two biggest names in tint. I don't believe it's a tint being metallic that messes with radar detectors, but a tint being mirrored (titanium)
