chip is the one the increase power and stuffs and the tip chip just make the Tip more responsive?

Yep, reduces time it takes to shift.

tells the computer to shift faster. Since Audis are luxury cars and 95% of the drivers are not enthusiasts. Audi programs in a little lag for smoother shifting. The Tip Chip tells it to shift quicker, to downshift with less throttle, and to hold it in gear longer.

it makes a huge difference! Gone is the shift lag,, gone is the slipping clutch feel.
