How many of you tip owners have tried the GIAC Tip chip? From some of the posts I have read I am little skeptical about the improvement in shifting. Also, has anyone had any problems with the chip? Last question, do I have to change my from APR chip to use the GIAC Tip chip? If anyone has any helpful info they don't want to share in public, feel free to send an e-mail.

I highly recommend it. Shifting is definitely faster, smoother. I can shift at redline and it feels like a stock shift, not jerky at all.
I don't think shifting time is down to .2 seconds like GIAC claims, but it is definitely faster. Especially downshifting.
I don't know if you have to change your APR chip. I doubt it, although I'm sure the tip chip is designed specifically with the GIAC engine chip in mind.

Once they resoldered it, everything was fine and no problems since. The chip itself was not at fault and has been perfect.
