Tip hesitation & first gear switches at 3000 rpm when cold
The dealer claims that the tip tronic hesitation is due to the torque converter. It turns out it is an EPA thing because of lower fuel consumption. The European cars do not have this. <p>The reason why the 1st gear does not change till 3000 rpm when it is cold is because of the EPA wants the Catalytic converter to warm up before normal operation.<p>Armand
