Ok so I'm merging onto the highway today and I was in second gear (In auto mode) and I nail the gas in order to merg (more for the hell of it than anything) and I hear and feel this major clunk / shudder as the tranny shifts down into first gear.
I know before the chip that the shift into 1st was very smooth with no clunk at all. Has anyone else had this problem? Will the tip chip solve this problem? Thanks all

Its as if the tranny shifts gears without unlocking the torque converter first. I get it mostly going from 3rd to 2nd up hill part throttle.. When was the last time you did a throtle body adaptation? When I do that on my car the shifting characteristics improve a little.
