Tiptronic error codes
Danger20's tiptronic is giving him fits, when he puts it in tip mode, the display does not show the "54321" and does not engage. Tranny still shifts in normal mode, Any ideas?

18141 - Tiptronic Down Switch (F189): Short to Ground P1733 - 35-10 - - - Intermittent
18152 - Tiptronic Recognition Switch (F189): Short to Ground P1744 - 35-10 - - - Intermittent
00526 - Brake Light Switch-F 27-00 - Implausible Signal

Sounds like a problem with the mechanism in the shifter that recognizes the lever has been moved
usually there is a magnet that falls off but this sounds alittle more like the sensor is bad. If nobody else pipes in, I'll try and look in the Bentley and see what F189 actually represents.

Yeah, the F189 is the tiptronic switch that is integrated into the shifter cover.
If the magenet is the problem, it is well documented just search for it. Otherwise, you may be looking at replacing the entire shift mechanism cover.
