Okay so I'm in my evaluation period of buying this car and the when I put the car into tiptronic mode it will shift to gears above second but then immediately shifts back to second. This includes when I shift into tiptronic mode while on the high way, it will shift back down and refuses to shift up until I shift back into automatic Has anyone had this problem before? Any estimates on price to fix? The turbo is strong and everything else is copasetic...

What RPM should I be shifting at when in tiptronic mode. Sorry I'm a noob...

Sounds like RPM sensor or Tip position sensor.

sounds like a lot of $$$, If you can go with manual tranny, longer life and better gas mileage.
