Tiptronic reliability longterm?? Any high mileage examples here?

My brother is considering a tip, with fairly high miles. Anything to look out for concerning this? 98 was the first year correct? What are the concerns with this tranny? All I can think of is that old 5000 auto tranny....garbage!!!!

Have a dealer inspect, it's a fortune to replace!!!
