Default tire recommandations

My 2000 A4 is approaching 30,000 miles and soon the baby will need a new pair of shoes. It came with dunlop 8000s, which are very nice. I recently saw a tire test in a british car magazine and the wnner was Goodyear Eagle F1 GS-D2. Anyone have any experience with the Eagle F1 GS-D2?

Default I have them...

The Goodyear Eagle F1's you are asking about are on my 99.5 2.8Q...The car handles great with them...however, in the past I've had serious issues with Goodyear's as far as getting any where near the actual mileage out of them that they claim. However, I've never had Eagle's before and have heard great things about them. I had Michelin Pilots (whatever their top version of the Pilot is) on my Honda. They feel great however, I did notice a lot of hum from them. So much in fact that I'm not sure I would get them to replace the tires I now have when I get to that point.
