i want good tread life and minimal road noise without compromising handling and avoiding all-seasons or touring tires...
because this is my first "summer" tires so i am very excited but i want to do this right!
thanks in advance

They break down tire groups by performance characteristics. This allows you to narrow down your choices according to what you want out of the tire. Dont dismiss all season too quickly. I had Goodyear RAs on my 2.8Q and I hated them. I replaced them with a set of ultra high performance all seasons, Dunlop SP 5000 Sports. I absolutely love them. Fantastic dry and wet, more than what I need for the snow in Cincinnati. Very quiet, mileage I dont know about yet but its been about 24k and they still look fine.
