Default tire size?

I just got my 18's today from UPS- my car is lowered and I'm afraid it might rub- So do you guys think I should get 225/35/18 tires or 225/40/18's? I'm really not sure- I know 225/35/18 is less rubber I think?, but potholes may be a bitch with those tires and I also do not want to rub .. help me out?

thanks
Scott

pretty low right now- I have about an inch in space tire to fender- thats why I don't want to rub.

do you think 225/35/18 is to low?? and whats the difference?

thanks
I just got rs4 reps. 18's

Default The tire calc can tell you the exact height differences

An inch of space is quite a bit acutaly, I have probably half that, but then again I do have rolled fenders.

http://www.miata.net/garage/tirecalc.html</a
