I have a 2002 A4 1.8T Quatro with 17 inch tires. An the Contintental Sportcontact 2 tires that came with need replaced. What are the best tires to get. Mostly freeway and surface roads and I located in Southern California. Thanks for any information.

First, check the wheel/tire forum.
Second, "best" really depends on your driving habits and style.
Third, look at the Michelin Pilot Sport PS2, Bridgestone Potenza S-03, Toyo T1-S, and Goodyear Eagle F1 GS-D3. They're all highly rated high-performance summer tires. They'll grip very well, handle rain, be somewhat noisy, not last too long, and cost a bit of $. If you're looking for less absolute performance and put a higher priority on tread life, comfort, noise, and/or value, there are other, tamer options. A search will bring those up.

they narrow down the choices and then you can read the reviews. Come back here and do some searches. By then you should be totally confused, er, able to decide.
