is the process of ceramic coating, the same as powder coating?

Default i have a home made ported one sitting in my garage...but it just seems like too much of a pain to

install

it's actually a pretty easy job, as long as everything comes apart without stripping/breaking

yea until another turbo replacement, I won't be tearing down either.

from the top with a universal joint. Audi did a good job of making them accessible

Default let's see if it holds up first... i have seen ceramic coating peel off. I dont think powder coating

will stay on

Default Process - spraying and baking yes - material no.

The cat was coated by Swain with a true ceramic coating. The mani and turbo exhaust housing were coated by Jet Hot with their black high temp "ceramic" coating. It went from black to this color really quickly. The Swain discolored a little. The temps near the exhaust side went down dramatically.
