Default Torque Settings Needed Please - Rear Brake Pads / Rotor Problems

I'm still having problems with my rear rotors / pads which were installed (new) last week. The pads are only gripping the outer edge of the rotor (inner rotors are starting to pickup rust marks).

I've taken the rotors off and the inner pads are making full contact. Problem is only with the outer ones. I couldnt fully torque the calipers (t-wrench wont fit in there) but I'm thinking if I tightened it too much. (I gave it full force).

Anyone know what the torque settings are on that rear caliper bolts?

Thanks

Default

you probably have high spots, as the pads wear it will become more even

Default new pads and rotors? if so, your sliders may be shot/dry. Can you remove the pads again?

and lube the sliders? just lift the boot and put i some lithium grease (marine works really well if available). It looks to me as though your calipers aren't closing properly, thereby only able to pinch the top of the rotor.

I cannot be 100% certain but that's my opinion of the issue...

Default You need to bed them in more. Do 5-10 80-0mph stops, then cool down for a few miles after.

The uneven wear should go away and give you better pedal feel as well. It wouldn't hurt to bleed the brakes after you do this, either.

Default So I'm still having problems with this. Another question please

Are there any metal position plates for the rear? I didnt see any when I did this install and just wondering if I possibly missed them.
