Tow it backwards?

In reading a recent post about the problems with damage when flatbedding the A4s, would it be possible to have it winched onto the flatbed backwards? Is there any place to hook on (tow hooks?) in the rear? It seems that the rear bumper isn't as low and there might be less of a chance of damage.

just hope the guy has some 2x4s.

level as is possible. If it starts to angle too sharply toward the ground, it will contact the bumper/valance and damage it.

There's a ring under the right side of the rear valence. Be careful of the size of the hook that is used. If it's too big, it'll puncture the valence. The tow guy that put mine on a flatbed did an impressive, professional job. He used a different hook that looked like a "D"-ring for rock climbing, so that it would fit between the ring on the car and valence. He then put a few 2' in length 2"x6" under the rear wheels to angle the car so the tow line wouldn't hit the rear valence. Then, once the car got farther up on the bed, he moved them to the front wheels so that the front valence didn't scrape. If he/she takes their time, no damage will occur from pulling it from the rear.
Once on the flat bed, to secure the front end, there are places on the frame directly behind the front wheels. There should be a little rubbing thiny in there, pull it out and put the secure lines in there instead of using the front ring.
Good luck!
